Climate change is like a fever for our planet. Normally, the Earth has a certain temperature range that's just right for most living things. But when we burn too many fossil fuels like coal and oil, it releases too much heat into the atmosphere, like putting on too many blankets at night. This extra heat makes the Earth's temperature rise, just like a fever makes you feel hot. That's what we call climate change.
What is climate change?
When the weather gets really hot for one day. When the Earth's temperature keeps getting warmer over time. When the sun gets closer to the Earth.
What makes the Earth's temperature rise?
Planting too many trees.Eating too much ice cream.Burning fossil fuels like coal and oil.
Why is climate change a problem?
It makes swimming in the ocean more fun.It can make it harder for plants and animals to survive. It gives us more snow days from school.
