About this worksheet

Henry & Squeaks is an engaging reading comprehension worksheet designed to help young learners understand the concept of different points of view in storytelling. This interactive and printable worksheet presents two short stories about the same event - Henry taking home the class pet, Squeaks the guinea pig. The stories are told from both Henry's and Squeaks' perspectives, offering students a unique opportunity to compare and contrast their thoughts and feelings about the situation.

The worksheet challenges students to read carefully and identify the contrasting emotions and experiences of the two characters. After reading the stories, children are prompted to answer two questions that require them to analyze and articulate the different viewpoints presented. This exercise not only improves reading comprehension skills but also encourages empathy and critical thinking as students consider how the same event can be perceived differently by various participants.
