General grade 3 fluency practice. This page is for all third graders.

Your teacher reads a line, and students echo it back the same way. Each line has a feeling label like whisper, excited, sleepy or surprised, so students practice matching tone and pace to meaning. Then students take the lead and a partner echoes them.

How to Use

Use it as a quick warm-up, a small group lesson or a reading center. Students rehearse short texts out loud, which builds prosody: reading with the right phrasing, pauses and feeling so the meaning comes through.
