Hail

Teach hail the analysis way with this print-and-go scenario worksheet for Grades 1-3. Students first read a few simple facts - that a hail is balls of ice that fall from strong thunderstorms, even in summer, forming high inside tall storm clouds - then put that knowledge to work in three quick tasks.

First they circle the clues they would see in a hail, with a few distractors mixed in to make them think. Next they make a safety decision, circling the wise choice in each pair - real, age-appropriate guidance like go inside right away and keep away from windows. Finally they finish a because sentence to explain their reasoning, supported by a word bank.
