Rare Earth Elements - Inferences Activity

Four illustrated clue cards, four quick decisions. A coin-sized earbud magnet outmuscles a fridge magnet the same size. Electric cars and wind turbines spin on rare-earth magnets. A phone screen's colors glow from rare-earth phosphors. And though they are named "rare," these metals are actually common - just hard to gather.
