Desert Jerboa

The Desert Jerboa is a small rodent that lives in the desert. It has long back legs that help it jump high and far. This helps it escape from predators. The Jerboa has a long tail that it uses to balance when it jumps. It eats seeds and insects. The Jerboa is nocturnal, meaning it is active at night. During the day, it hides in burrows to stay cool and safe from the heat.
