America 250 Diamond Lattice

Bring on the bunting! In America 250 Diamond Lattice, a fine 12×12 grid is filled with an argyle-style lattice of red and blue diamonds separated by crisp white, split by a dashed line of symmetry. Students reflect the left half to the right to complete the all-over pattern for America's 250th birthday, 1776 to 2026.

Unlike a single centered emblem, this tessellated design keeps students reflecting piece after piece across the whole grid. Many squares are half-square triangles forming the diamond points, so learners practice reflecting color, position, and orientation together. The repeating structure also invites great discussion about how patterns and symmetry work.

Aligned to CCSS 4.G.A.3, it works as guided practice, a math-center activity, early-finisher work, or a no-prep patriotic activity for grades 3–5. A completed answer key is included for quick checking.
