About this worksheet
Piece a patriotic quilt block with math! In America 250 Quilt Star, the left half of an 8×8 grid shows part of a red, white, and blue sawtooth star block, split by a dashed line of symmetry. Students reflect every shape to the right half to complete a classic quilt star for America's 250th birthday, 1776 to 2026.
This is the challenging end of the series. The block packs in many half-square triangles, including a pieced center, so students must reflect color, position, and orientation for each piece, flipping triangles to mirror across the line. It is excellent stretch work for spatial reasoning and careful attention.
Aligned to CCSS 4.G.A.3, it works as a challenge task, math-center activity, fast-finisher extension, or a no-prep patriotic geometry sheet for grades 3–5. A completed answer key is included so students can self-check or teachers can grade in seconds.
Print and go—clean layout and Workybooks brand styling drop it into any symmetry and reflections unit.
