Reading in Science: Types of Forces

Six short science passages on the forces that act on everyday objects, each targeting a different reading-comprehension skill. The set builds from what a force is (a push or pull with strength and direction), through contact and noncontact forces, to the standard's named forces - gravity and the normal force, friction and air resistance, and applied and magnetic forces - and finishes by identifying the several forces acting on one real-world object at once.
