Which State Has This Property—Sort

Eight property cards, three bins. Instead of sorting objects, students sort the properties themselves - "has a definite shape," "can be squeezed into a smaller space," "its particles slide past one another" - and decide whether each one describes a solid, a liquid, or a gas. It forces students to reason from a property back to the state, which is exactly the comparison TEKS 6.6A asks for.
