Lily loved playing in her backyard. One sunny afternoon, she decided to play with her toys. She had a big red ball, a toy car, and her favorite box filled with crayons.
First, Lily gave the red ball a little push. “Wow! It rolls so fast!” she said as it went round and round across the grass.
Next, she grabbed the toy car. “Let’s see how far you go!” Lily gave the car a push, and it rolled across the path, just like the ball.
Finally, Lily wanted to move her crayon box closer. But the box didn’t roll! “Oh, I have to slide it,” she said, pulling it across the ground.
Lily thought for a moment. “Some things roll, some things slide, and I can use pushes and pulls to move them all!” She smiled, proud of her discoveries.
