What Do Starfish Eat?
Starfish are hungry animals. They eat many things in the ocean. Some starfish like to eat clams and oysters. They use their strong arms to pry open the shells. Then, they push their stomachs out of their bodies and into the shell. This lets them digest the food outside their body! Other starfish eat tiny plants and animals floating in the water.
Some big starfish even eat small fish. Starfish are important because they help keep the ocean clean by eating dead animals.
